Your family’s culture, even far from Algeria

Tales, festivals, dishes, songs: much of what grandparents tell gets lost in everyday life in France or Germany. Jeddoo brings that world to your children in short, calm moments, alongside what the family passes on itself.

How Jeddoo works

  1. A mother picks topics on her phone while her son watches.

    1. You set it up

You choose the age, languages and topics. Your child needs no account of their own.

  2. A girl with a tablet looks amazed; a picture of an Algerian family courtyard with a lemon tree, tea and bread rises from it.

    2. Your child discovers a piece of Algeria

A festival, a custom, a place or a value, told in a short story to listen to and read along.

  3. A boy and his grandfather play a picture-card game and laugh together.

    3. They play and keep the story going

Small games pick up the story. Your child follows a learning path that fits their age.

  4. A mother and her two children sit at the table with flatbread and tea; the girl is telling a story, the boy laughs, and the tablet lies face down beside them.

    4. You talk about it together

“Ask your child…” prompts and a weekly “days together” count, so the story carries on at the dinner table.

Who is behind Jeddoo

I'm a father of three, a daughter, a son and a baby boy, and I came from Algeria to Germany. Watching my children grow up far from Algeria, I see how much of our culture they are missing: the tales, the festivals, the values my parents passed on to me. I'm building Jeddoo so that they, and children like them, know where they come from, alongside everything the family shares at home.
